<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sorting waste plastic capable of sorting waste plastic using a simple device and at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In a granulator 5, an agitation blade 36 is rotated at a circumferential speed of 30 to 60 m/s for 3 to 11 minutes at a temperature of 90°C or higher, water is supplied at a temperature of 120 to 170°C as a granulation finishing temperature, and granulation is finished. By means of this, polyvinyl chloride (easily sheared material) is granulated as a fine particle, polyethylene, polypropylene and polystylene are granulated to coarse particles, and further an ABS resin, polyvinyl chloride (hardly sheared material), polyethylene terephthalate and polyacetal can be left as it is without being granulated. If separation is carried out by a screen vessel 8 and a specific gravity difference selector 9 after the above, waste plastic can be sorted and collected in accordance with the type of waste plastic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
