<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer type fuel cell capable of providing excellent durability by graphatizing a carrier, and of providing excellent power generation performance by controlling fine pores in an electrode catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: The average lattice spacing d<SB>002</SB>of the [002] surface, the specific surface area thereof and the bulk density thereof are set to 0.338-0.355 nm, 80-250 m<SP>2</SP>/g and 0.30-0.45 g/ml, respectively; and the volume of 0.01-2.0 μm fine pores in the electrode catalyst layer and the volume of 0.01-0.15 μm fine pores therein are so controlled as to be set above 3.8 μl/cm<SP>2</SP>/mg-Pt and above 2.0 μl/cm<SP>2</SP>/mg-Pt, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
