A technology is provided for accurately transmitting information by using optical signals as medium between circuit boards. A fixing member (10) fixes a plurality of circuit boards (20) at prescribed intervals, and an optical communication path is provided between the circuit boards (20). The fixing member (10) is provided with a main body (15), and an optical waveguide (12) penetrating the main body (15). The fixing member (10) is further provided with a light receiving section (50) and a light emitting section (40). The fixing member (10) permits the optical signals, which are transmitted from one circuit board (20) and received by another circuit board (20), to propagate in the optical waveguide (12) of the fixing member (10).
