A gate valve is provided to be used even at a narrow space by reducing a whole shape by allowing a housing to have only height for rotation of a disk. A gate valve(100) includes a valve housing(10), a gear box(50), and a disk(40). The valve housing has a pipeline(1) in a body with a passage. The gear box transmits torque of an input shaft(51) to a driving shaft(21) from the outside of the body of the valve housing. The disk is moved along a guide path of the housing and opens and closes the pipeline. A boss is formed in one body with the housing to rotate a shaft(30). A pair of bevel gears(23) is installed between the shaft and the driving shaft to transmit the torque. The disk is fixed at an inner end part of the shaft and is rotated in the guide path to open and close the pipeline.
