A location registration method in an asynchronous mobile communication system is provided to enable a mobile communication terminal to require location registration and to offer changed location information to an SGSN(Serving GPRS Supporting Node), so the terminal smoothly use a circuit network service and a packet data network service. As an MS(Mobile Station) which fail to perform location registration in a packet data network attempts to send a voice call, an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) demands and receives an IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity) to and from the terminal(S101-S105). Location registration for the terminal is performed between the MSC and an HLR(Home Location Register)(S107-S121). As the terminal is transferred into an idle state, the HLR demands location information updating of the terminal to the packet data network, so the packet data network changes location information of the terminal(S123-S131).
