A make-before-break selector switch (100) for use in high-voltage applicatio ns allows power to a load to be switched from a first power source (110) to a second power source (110) such that the second connection is made before the first is broken. The selector switch (100) includes a blade (132) coupled to a selector switc h control (100) such that the blade may be placed in a first position to electrically couple a first power source (110) electrical contac t and in a second position to electrically couple a second power source (110) electrical contact to the load electrical contact. T-shap ed and v-shaped blade implementations are examples of configurations that may be used. <IMG>
