Disc wheels.-The two stampings 10, 11 of a wheel body which in the final form is totally enclosed, are positioned during the process of welding together by a sheet-metal member 14, of a form such as that shown in Fig. 5, previously spot-welded to the lower half and separated from the upper by insulation 19. As the electrodes 20, 21 approach, the member 14 is compressed and is retained under compression in the finished article. |
