An organic photoreceptor, and an electrophotographic imaging apparatus containing the photoreceptor are provided to improve the adhesive strength between a conductive support and a charge generation layer or a charge transport layer. An organic photoreceptor comprises a photosensitive layer which comprises a conductive support, and a charge generation layer and a charge transport layer formed on the conductive support, wherein the conductive support has a surface roughness of 0.2 micrometers or more, more preferably 0.2-0.5 micrometers, and is anodic oxidized. Preferably the charge generation layer comprises a bisazo-based charge generation material.
