A call request reason transmission method and a terminal thereof are provided to transmit a call request reason to a receiving terminal together with an incoming call if the call is requested to the receiving terminal, so the receiving terminal selectively receives the incoming call according to the reason. An IMS(IP-based Multimedia Subsystem) mode is set(S302). A controller converts an operation mode of the first terminal into the IMS mode for sending a call request reason together with a call request signal(S304). A request for a communication call is received(S306). The controller provides a screen for writing the call request reason to a display unit(S308). If the call request reason is completely written(S310), the controller wirelessly delivers a message on the reason together with the call request signal(S312).
