METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING EQUALIZER IN AUDIO SIGNAL DECODER AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

A method for implementing an equalizer in an audio signal decoder and an apparatus therefor are provided to convert a signal in a temporal domain outputted in the audio signal decoder into a signal in a frequency domain to have no need of the equalizer which is processed by the input of a user, thereby reducing complexity in realizing an audio reproduction device having the equalizer. A method for decoding an audio signal comprises the following steps of: converting the sub band sample data of the audio signal into frequency band information(410); adjusting the converted frequency band information according to the input of a user(420); displaying the adjusted frequency band information to a display(430); and converting the adjusted frequency band information into sub band sample data(440).
