An information or data exchanging method is provided to be capable of exchanging real-time information and/or data by connecting a wireless communication session based on location information of each telematics unit between the telematics units, thus P2P(Peer to Peer) communication is available between vehicles. A sending telematics unit transmits the current location information of a sending telematics unit-mounted vehicle to a receiving telematics unit(500-520). The receiving telematics unit receives the current location information of the sending telematics unit-mounted vehicle(525,550). The current location of the sending telematics unit-mounted vehicle and the current location of a receiving terminal are outputted on a screen through a receiving telematics output unit(555,560).
