METHOD FOR TREATING COMPLICATED MACULAR EDEMA IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETIC RETINOPATHY

A method for treating the complicated macular edema in the patients with the diabetic retinopathy comprises the laser coagulation and the administration of the drug. To the lower nasal eye quadrant, betamethasone is administered in the volume of 0.1 mL at the distance of 4 mm from limbus to the vitreous body. The suspension of betamethasone is passed beforehand through the fine-pore filter. The treatment efficacy is monitored. The laser coagulation is recommended when the macular edema is reduced.
