A lead-free acid-resistant glass composition and a glass paste comprising the glass composition are provided to obtain high acid-resistance, low softening point, a thermal expansion coefficient almost equal to that of a glass substrate for PDP, low dielectric constant and decrease of cavities by adjusting the composition. A lead-free acid-resistant glass composition comprises 5-25% of SiO2, 4-30% of B2O3, 7-30% of ZnO, 15-70% of Bi2O3, 0-15% of Al2O3, 5-20% of BaO by weight. A glass paste comprising the glass composition further comprises inorganic filler and vehicle, and the glass paste has dielectric constant of at most 20 after combustion. A plasma display panel(8) has a back plate or a first substrate(12), the partition walls or rib walls(14) and an airtight space defined by a front plate or a second substrate(10). The back plate disposed in parallel to each other has plural discharge spaces(16) defined by the partition walls that extend in a direction in the PDP. Plural address electrodes(18) are disposed on the back plate between the partition walls, and covered with a white dielectric layer(32). Plural pairs of display discharge electrodes(24a,24b) are disposed on the first plate, and the electrodes are covered with a dielectric layer(20) made of low softening point glass such as borosilicate glass and a protection layer(22) made from magnesium oxide and the like, extending in a direction at a right angle to the longitudinal direction of the partition wall. Each of the discharge space is divided in plural luminous divisions corresponding to each pair of the display discharge electrodes. Fluorescent layers(26) are disposed on the inner surface of the back plate and the surface of the partition walls in each of the discharge space. Each of the display discharge electrode is comprised of a transparent electrode(28) or a transparent conductive layer and a bus electrode(30). The white dielectric layer(32) is prepared from the glass paste.
