METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF STRESSES IN CUTTING WEDGE OF INSTRUMENT

摘要

Method for determination of stresses in cutting wedge of instrument includes study of stresses by means of polarization-optical ray. One polishes side surface of working section of instrument made of instrument steel. One glues on side surface plate made of epoxy resin. One performs cutting of real construction material. One directs in turn ray of monochromatic and white light on deformed under effect of cutting force instrument and plate. One fixes patterns of strips and isopachs having come to existence at ray passage through plate. One determines from patterns of strips residue of main stresses, by patterns of isopachs – sum of main stresses acting in cutting wedge of instrument.
