A method for monitoring the flying dynamics of the black plum sawfly by means of counting the numbers of the sawfly using white sticking traps preliminary prepared in the laboratory and hanging thereof on trees in the period of fruit-bud swelling – beginning of forming a white flower-bud. The proposed method of monitoring of the imago of the black plum sawfly allows obtaining accurate and representative scientific information on the main periods of the ontogenesis of a phytophage, in particular the beginning, peak and end of the flying, and also species composition of the sawflies and density of population thereof, what is extremely important for determining the optimum terms of applying insecticides while using an integrated plum growing. |
