METHOD OF DETERMINING INTERNAL RESISTANCE OF BATTERY

A method for determining an internal resistance of a battery is provided to measure correctly the internal resistance without using additional devices by using a BMS(Battery Management System). A relational expression between a discharge current and an internal resistance is obtained by using a normal battery standard sample of a normal state. A change of voltage and current are measured before and after the battery is discharged. A first internal resistance is calculated by using the measured changes of the voltage and the current. A second internal resistance is calculated by applying the measured changes of the current to the relational expression. A real internal resistance of the battery is determined by using the first and second internal resistances.
