<p>The invention relates to a method for producing a hollow profile from a plate (5), in which the plate is placed between two die halves (3, 4) which have the desired profile shape and can be displaced in relation to each other and the plate is formed into a hollow profile having a slot by means of a closing movement of the die halves, and relates to a device for producing hollow profiles which has two die halves arranged displaceably in relation to each other and possibly a base plate (2), the die halves having the desired profile shape of the hollow profile to be formed. The forming is carried out with coreless die halves, and sliding forward of the edges (6, 7) of the plate during the closing movement of the die for forming a slotted hollow profile is prevented.</p> |
