FIELD: weapon and ammunition. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the disposal of thickened or semi-solid mustard referred to as remnant, which is not ejected from the ammunition while mustard dissolving. The method of thickened mustard disposal includes the following stages: a) dissolution of thickened mustard in an organic solution, for example 2-chloroethanol, methanol, methylcellosolve or their mixtures, for obtaining of the clear mixture; b) combustion of the clear mixture of thickened mustard and the solvent obtained in stage (a); c) dissolution of residual thickened mustard obtained in stage (b) by adding methylcellosolve; d) chemical transformation of the dissolved mustard, derived in stage (c) into non toxic products by adding powdered sodium hydroxide and diethylenetriamine. ^ EFFECT: environmentally safe and economically effective method, witch allows for dissolving thickened mustard completely. ^ 11 cl, 3 ex |
