FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to digital stenography or integration of arbitrary water marks into a digital image, and more specifically, to direct, without spectral conversions, reversible integration of arbitrary water marks through quantisation and modification of amplitude values of a signal under conditions when the original image (container) is not accessible, while the transmitted message is not known at the receiving end - blind integration technology. A method of integrating an arbitrary binary message into a digital image is proposed. This is done by changing the brightness of the pixels of the image, containing the stages of iterative division of the brightness scale of the whole image into sequential ranges. For each of the ranges, obtained on one of the intermediate iterations, image components, which do not change and varied during integration of the message, are determined, and there is integration of the message bits into pixels of the varied components of the image through either taking the brightness value of the pixels of the image as pixels containing the integrated message, or mirror reflection of the value of its brightness relative the central value of brightness for the said range. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of disguising messages based on water marks. ^ 10 cl,14 dwg |
