FIELD: construction. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to waterworks construction and may be used for restoring waterproof properties of waterworks made of low-temperature grounds and rocks, mainly in the permafrost areas. The invention can be also used in erecting or repairing imperious screens in ground dams built in the areas of permafrost rocks distribution. The compound for generating waterproof properties in low-temperature grounds and rocks includes polyvinyl alcohol, water, boric acid and, in addition, filling agent such as saw dust and/or basalt fiber under the following ratio of components, wt %: polyvinyl alcohol - 3.0-10.0, boric acid - 0.2-1.0, saw dust - 7.0-10.0, basalt fiber - 0.1-0.5 and the remaining ingredient is water. ^ EFFECT: improvement of compound mechanical properties, reduction of grounds and rocks distortions and damage, prevention of their cracking during seasonal freezing or melting. ^ 1 tbl, 9 ex |
