A device for measuring the amount of suspended sand is provided to measure the amount of the suspended sand in a river continuously according to depth of the river, and to be operated automatically. A device for measuring the amount of suspended sand comprises a guide body(10) of underwater flow rate, a radiation source(20) and a radiation detector(30). The guide body of the underwater flow rate provides a flow path and sets a measuring region. The radiation source is installed to one part of the guide body of the underwater flow rate, and generates radiation to the measuring region. The radiation detector is installed to the other part of the guide body of the underwater flow rate, and detects the amount of the suspended sand in the measuring region through the radiation passed through the measuring region.
