A direct heating fixing roller for electrophotographic image forming apparatus, an electrophotographic image forming apparatus having the fixing roller, and a method for manufacturing the fixing roller are provided to use a carbon mixture as a heating layer to increase the thickness of the heating layer, thereby maintaining the constant temperature of the fixing roller as a change of resistance is minute. A direct heating fixing roller(1) for electrophotographic image forming apparatus comprises a non-conductive cylindrical body, a heating layer(30), a protection layer, and an electrode. The heating layer is formed on the outside of the body to generate heat when receiving a current. The protection layer is formed on the outside of the heating layer. The electrode is connected to end portions of the heating layer.
