#CMT# #/CMT# In multilayer composite insulation comprising flexible film(s) and flexible mat(s) of non-woven fibrous material placed against each other, the film (3) has holes (6) or perforations with tears in the edges (7), through which the fibers (4a) of the mat (4) pass, to be retained by the tears. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is included for the production of the insulating composites, by: (A) forming a multilayer insulating element (2) by needling the film(s) (3) and mat(s) together, using a needling machine; and (B) forming an assembly from the obtained element and other film(s) and/or mats, preferably using a sewing machine. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The products are useful as thermal and/or sound insulation, especially in buildings or constructions. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The composite has good tensile strength and tearing strength, and can be easily rolled up, stored stably in rolled form and unrolled without damage.
