<p>A mobile terminal and a scanning method for power saving therein are provided to minimize the consumption of current, as compared with when scanning is individually executed, by adjusting scan periods so that scanning can be simultaneously carried out at an overlapped portion of scan periods. A scan period adjustment part in a mobile terminal checks the scan periods of radio communication modules(31). The scan period adjustment part adjusts the checked scan periods. Then the scan period adjustment part stores information about the adjusted scan periods in a storage part(33). A control part judges whether the mobile terminal is in an idle state(35). If not, the control part executes an associated function(37). In case the mobile terminal is in the idle state, a scan execution part changes over from sleep mode to slot mode according to the adjusted scan periods and executes scanning(39).</p> |
