PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided which simply removes skull such as slag or inclusions generated during converter blowing stuck to the surface of converter blowing lance used during converter blowing in steelmaking plant of iron works. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus(1) for removing skull(16) adhered to the surface of a converter blowing lance(20) ascended or descended through a circular dome(14) installed at gas collecting pipe at the upper side of converter to blow high purity high pressure oxygen into molten steel in the converter, the apparatus for removing skull on the converter blowing lance comprises a casing means connected to the upper side of the circular dome(14) so that the lance(20) passes through the casing means; a body of revolution(50) which is installed at the inner side of the casing means so that the body of revolution(50) is rotated by a driving means(40), and through which the lance(20) passes; and knife means(70) a plurality of which are horizontally projectingly installed on the inner coiling part(50a) of the body of revolution(50) so that the knife means(70) are integrally rotated along with the body of revolution(50) in a circumferential direction of the lance(20) to remove skull(16) stuck to the surface of the lance(20). |
