The present invention relates to a topical composition for reducing lesion and inflammation of human papillomavirus (HPV) on the skin and mucous membranes comprising an effective amount of at least one component from one of ground garlic, garlic powder, garlic oil, minced garli c, and greater celandine, a terpene-, phenol- or polyphenol-containing agent, and a sulfurated compound in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier to form a homogenous topical composition, and uses thereof.
