An automatic reciprocating type sludge collector is provided to manufacture the sludge collector simply, reduce the manufacturing costs, and enable smooth reciprocation of the sludge collector without mis-operation by reducing the number of parts of a sludge collector. An automatic reciprocating type sludge collector comprises: a first sludge treater(10) which is positioned in a lower part within a settling basin(1), and includes a first body(11), a first body supporting unit(13), and a first scraper(12); a second sludge treater(20) which is positioned in an upper part within the settling basin, and includes a second body(21), a second body supporting unit(23), and a second scraper(22); vertical poles(19) for connecting and fixing the first and second sludge treaters; a speed reducer(30) installed at a rear side of an outer part of the settling basin; a link device(35) connected to the speed reducer and the first sludge treater to move the first and second sludge treaters forward and backward; first and second pressing elements(37a,37b) fixed to an inner wall of the settling basin and oppositely directed to each other in front of the first and second sludge treaters; third and fourth pressing elements(37c,37d) fixed to the inner wall of the settling basin and oppositely directed to each other in rear of the first and second sludge treaters; and scraper opening-and-closing units(40,40') installed at one sides of the first and second sludge treaters and connected to the first and second scrapers to open and close operation parts of the first and second scrapers. The link device comprises a cam(31), a crank rod(32), a first link(33), and a second link(34). The scraper opening-and-closing units include first and second guide members(41,41'), first and second round bars(42,42'), and first and second opening-and-closing links(43,43').
