A method of manufacturing a headrest for a car is provided to prevent material from being wasted by punching, and bending a material with a predetermined size. A method of manufacturing a headrest for a car includes the steps of: cutting material with a predetermined width by a predetermined length(S1); punching a receiving groove at the top of the cut material(S2); bending the material with the receiving groove into a 'Ý‹' shape(S3); and bending the 'Ý‹' shaped material into a '□' shape(S4); and inserting a square rod into the '□' shaped material to widen a diameter of the grooved part(S5).
