The arrangement has a splitter (VER) connected with an output of a power supply source (SNT11) e.g. switching power supply, over a supply line cable. The supply source is provided with a control circuit (RK11) connected with the splitter over a control line (KL11) such that a control voltage (SENSE11) determined at the splitter is used when the control circuit adjusts a desired output voltage. The output of the supply source is connected with a control circuit (RK12) over a control line (KL12) so that a control voltage (SENSE12) determined at the output of the supply source is used.
