<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic composition which is excellent in the accelerated aging of insulation resistance and has high rated voltage. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric porcelain composition comprises predetermined amounts of a main component comprising barium titanate, a first accessory component comprising BaZrO<SB>3</SB>, a second accessory component comprising an oxide of Mg, a third accessory component comprising an oxide of R (wherein R represents at least one selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu), a fourth accessory component comprising an oxide of at least one element selected from Mn, Cr, Co, and Fe, and a fifth accessory component comprising an oxide of at least one element selected from Si, Li, Al, Ge, and B. When the particle diameter of the dielectric particle is D, the content of the fifth accessory component at a depth T<SB>5</SB>, which is 5% of the particle diameter D, is more than 0.1 atomic percent and less than 1.3 atomic percent in terms of Si, Li, Al, Ge or B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
