<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate feeding method that prevents multiple plate feeding due to adhesion of plates, suppresses misalignment of a planographic printing plate on a pallet and suppresses the occurrence of problems relating to plate feeding to achieve stable platemaking for a long period of time in an automatic platemaking machine having an automatic plate feeding mechanism that feeds, sheet by sheet, a plurality of planographic printing plates mounted on a pallet. <P>SOLUTION: The platemaking machine has an automatic plate feeding mechanism that mounts a plurality of planographic printing plates 2 with chamfered side faces on a pallet 1 and feeds the plates, sheet by sheet, and the machine has an air blow means 34 that blows compressed air to the chamfered side faces of the planographic printing plates mounted on the pallet.
