<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption during a standby state in a configuration of supplying DC power on the basis of an AC commercial power source. <P>SOLUTION: A power source adapter 20 which receives input of an AC current and supplies DC power to a printer 10 comprises an AC/DC converting circuit 22 which converts an AC current flowing through a power line into a DC current and outputs the DC current of a predetermined voltage; a DC voltage regulator 23 and a MODEM circuit 25 which receives a signal that is transmitted while being superimposed on the AC current, wherein the MODEM circuit 25 stops the printer 10 in a case where a signal instructing the stop of the printer 10 is received, and further stops at least a part of the AC/DC converting circuit 22 and the DC voltage regulator 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
