摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a desired spectrum can not be obtained since descriptions of fluorescent substances are limited and the fluorescent spectrum can not be flexibly designed, though improvement of the fluorescent substance of a CCFL and the like is recently performed for the purpose of expansion of a color reproducing range in a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes: a display panel comprising a liquid crystal layer and a plurality of pixels capable of modulating transmitted light through the liquid crystal layer for every pixel; a pixel voltage applying means for controlling transmitted light of the pixels of the display panel corresponding to a video signal; and an illuminating means for illuminating the display panel and outputting display.
