The invention relates to a fuel cell stack assembly and to a method for producing the same. The fuel cell assembly (1) contains: a membrane unit (2) comprising at least one electrode in the form of an anode (3) and/or a cathode (4), in addition to at least one current conductor structure (5) containing an electrically conductive current conductor base body (6). The current conductor base body (6) has a passivation layer (7) with individual contacts (8) distributed over the surface, said individual contacts (8) being arranged in such a way that they make electrical contact with an electrode (3, 4) on one side and with the current conductor base body (6) on the other. The invention allows corrosion-resistant fuel cell stack assemblies with excellent long-term stability to be cost-effectively produced.
