A method for providing coupons is provided to enable a client and a card issuer to prevent damage owing to a lost card by installing a mobile number of a client mobile terminal to a storage area of a client chip card and authenticating the client with a call connected to the mobile number extracted from the client chip card when payment is performed with the chip card. A mobile number of a client mobile terminal is stored to a chip card of the client mobile terminal(300). A payment terminal extracts whether the mobile number is stored in the chip card(310). The payment terminal requests a payment approval request by extracting payment information and the mobile number from the chip card, and transmitting the extracted payment information and mobile number to a card company(325). The payment terminal provides sender information to the client mobile terminal by connecting a call to the extracted mobile number(330). The sender information is displayed to the client mobile terminal(355). The payment terminal progresses a payment approval procedure when the client is authenticated by the sender information displayed on the client mobile terminal(360).
