PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing method and a fixing structure for a baffle upper part suspension rod capable of preventing fracture or the like of the suspension rod supporting a baffle, even when the baffle and the suspension rod of a heating furnace provided with the baffle are exposed to a high temperature heating atmosphere and thermally deformed. SOLUTION: The fixing structure for the upper part suspension rod 11 of the baffle 1 is comprised of a ceiling 9 of the heating furnace having a through hole 21 for the upper part suspension rod of the baffle, a bearing device 22 airtightly installed coaxially with the through hole and in a ceiling upper face side of the heating furnace, a securing member 31 attached to an upper end neighborhood of the upper part suspension rod, and an elastic member 35 interposed between the securing member and an upper face of the bearing device.
