PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact-absorbing structure for a vehicle driver's seat capable of absorbing impact upon a driver by making a column switch fall off a column cover at vehicle collision, even if layout flexibility of the column switch is enhanced by setting a mounting site of the column switch other than at a steering member. SOLUTION: Column switches 7, 8 are mounted and fixed as an operation system capable of activating a plurality of vehicle-mounted equipment on an outside face of the column cover 10 of a steering column 3. A lower cover 22 on the rear face of a steering wheel 5 is in a shape covering a whole of a tip part of the steering column 3 from an outer periphery. When the column as a whole makes a sinking down movement along a sinking direction A at vehicle collision, the lower cover 22 makes a sinking down movement along an outer periphery face of the column cover 10, so that a protruded part 22c at a tip of the lower cover 22 wedges into a gap at the foot of the column switches 7, 8 to forcibly make the column switches 7, 8 fall off the column cover 10.
