PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that the contact part of a terminal fitting is scratched and damaged with respect to a connector. SOLUTION: The connector is provided with a terminal fitting 20 having a contact part 41 to contact a mating terminal 30 and a housing 10 having press-fit holes 14, 14A in which the terminal fitting 20 is pressed, and the terminal fitting 20 is pressed in and held to the housing 10 after the contact part 41 passes through the press-fit hole 14, 14A. Out of the inner face of the press-fit holes 14, 14A in the housing 10, the inner face corresponding to the region where the contact part 41 passes has a shape to be gradually separated from the region toward the crowning 62, 62A corresponding to the center part 65 in width direction of the region. Thereby, when the contact part 41 passes through the press-fit holes 14, 14A, the contact part 41 and the inner face of the press-fit holes 14, 14A can be avoided to scratch each other.
