PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing unit that is stable even if waveform fluctuates due to defects or the like and is suitable for manufacturing an LSI having improved performance in non-symmetry. SOLUTION: An offset corrector 11 inputs a digital signal DRF outputted by an A/D converter 10 to correct offsets. The offset corrector 11 is configured so as to switch between level correction operation for correcting offsets so that the DC level of a shortest periodical signal included in a reproduction signal is adjusted to an amplitude reference zero and HPF operation for correcting offsets so that the level of a reproduction signal is adjusted to the amplitude reference zero. The offset corrector 11 corrects offsets by level correction operation in normal reproduction, and corrects offsets by switching the operation to the HPF operation when a defect discriminator 14 detects a defective region.
