PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share a power source between a flash device and a liquid lens, in an imaging apparatus having a flash device and liquid lens. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 1 includes an Xe tube 2, a light emitting circuit 3 for making it emit light, a liquid lens 4, and a liquid lens driving circuit 5 for driving the liquid lens 4. The light emitting circuit 3 includes: a booster circuit 9 composed of a booster transformer 7 for raising the voltage of a battery 6, and a switch-control circuit 8 for continuously controlling the primary current of the booster transformer 7; a main capacitor 11 connected to the secondary side of the booster transformer 7 through a diode 10; a trigger circuit 15 for making a trigger coil 14 generate a high voltage after the completion of the charging of the main capacitor, thereby discharging charged energy to the Xe tube; and an MPU 16 for controlling the switch-control circuit and trigger circuit. The liquid lens driving circuit has a liquid lens driving power source means 21 for obtaining a high voltage from the booster circuit of the light emitting circuit to drive the liquid lens.
