<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for lubricating high temperature metals that can make the degree of corrosion on a metal surface lower than in the case of using regular lubricating methods. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises bringing a metal surface into contact with an amorphous liquid hydrofluorocarbon co-telomer containing 30-65% of a monomer unit derived from hexafluoropropylene and having H:F molar ratio of 0.05:1. The viscosity of the liquid hydrofluorocarbon at 40°C is in a range of 1-10,000 cSt. Furthermore, a thickening agent comprising a fine powder of polytetrafluoroethylene, silica, molybdenum disulfide or graphite is blended together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
