<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain performance information on an available post-printing processor, and execute printing and post-printing processing while changing print specifications as needed according to the acquired performance information. <P>SOLUTION: The print support apparatus includes: a print-job-definition-data input section 14; a printer-performance-information acquisition section 17 that obtains performance information on an available printer; a post-printing-processor-performance-information acquisition section 18 that obtains performance information on an available post-printing processor; and a print-specification determination section 15 that determines print specifications to be implemented, according to the print specifications described in the print-job definition data, the printer performance information, and the post-printing-processor performance information, and generating print-job setting data describing print settings for executing printing according to the print specifications and post-printing-process-job setting data describing post-printing-process settings for postprocessing a print medium printed according to the print specifications. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
