<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a color filter by which the occurrence of a failure due to foreign matter in post-bake is prevented and a higher yield and higher throughput are attained to ensure high productivity, and a color filter having colored pixel parts excellent in film properties. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a color filter, a step of forming a colored pixel part by exposing and developing a film formed on a support by applying a curable composition comprising (A) a colorant, (B) an alkali-soluble resin, (C) a polymerizable compound, (D) a triazine compound or an oxime compound and (E) a solvent, wherein a content of the triazine compound or oxime compound is ≥8 mass% of a total solid content of the composition, is continuously repeated to form colored pixel parts of a plurality of colors, and then a step of irradiating the colored pixel parts of the plurality of colors with ultraviolet light is carried out.
