PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy by cooking rice with reduced power consumption in a standard rice cooking mode. SOLUTION: In this electric rice cooker, a steaming end temperature is set to a temperature higher than a normal steaming temperature in an energy-saving rice cooking course. In the energy-saving rice cooking course, the steaming end temperature is set to temperature higher than the normal steaming temperature. A steaming time is thereby shortened to attain energy saving.
