PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire cylinder which has no possibility of the elution of a toxic substance such as zinc, which is excellent in corrosion resistance and durability, and resistant to sliding. SOLUTION: The square-shaped wire cylinder 1 has a bottom net 2, four side nets 3, 4, 5 and 6, and a lid net 7. The bottom net, the side nets and the lid net are all formed of lozenge-typed wire nets composed of stainless steel wires. Then at least the stainless steel wire of the lid net among the bottom net, the side nets, and the lid net is subjected to uneven processing by blast processing, and has a split-face surface of 50 to 200μm expressed in Rz by JISB0601.
