PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber and a nonwoven fabric having soft feeling, excellent both in initial bulkiness-recovery performance and long term bulkiness-recovery performance, and especially suitable for a usage of frequent loading. SOLUTION: The crimped conjugate fiber is composed of a first component including a polytrimethylene terephthalate resin and a second component including a polyolefin resin, has an eccentric core-sheath type conjugate cross-section, mixed crimps 12 of serrated crimps and wavy crimps, or a mixture of the serrated crimps and the helical crimps having a number of crimp more than 7/25 mm and less than 25/25 mm. When the melting point of the second component is represented as Tm(°C), the conjugated fibers express wave line crimps and/or spiral crimps having a length between crimps and a height of a crimp within a specific range at Tm -3(°C), and the dry heat contraction is kept at less than 3%.
