PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seamless chain-like knitted fabric without accompanying human work and to provide a method for knitting the knitted fabric. SOLUTION: Ring-shaped knitted fabrics 3 and 4 opening at least in two knit width directions is formed by a flat knitting machine having at least a pair of front and rear needle beds and constituted so as to enable relative racking of the front and rear needle beds. When carrying out knitting, either one knitted fabric of front and rear knitted fabrics of one ring-shaped knitted fabric is made to cross through a space between other pair of front and rear knitted fabrics. Front knitted fabrics 5 and 15 and rear knitted fabrics 6 and 16 are each bound off in final stitch row to form a chain-shaped knitted fabric 10 without a seam. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
