A piece of furniture comprises a drawer that can be displaced between a retracted and a pulled out position in relation to a body of the piece of furniture, and a drive unit for displacing the drawer between the retracted and the pulled out position. The drive unit comprises a drive element which is mobile along a linear axis of displacement and which is or can be actively connected to the drawer for the purpose of displacing the same. A drive motor (10) of the drive unit is actively connected to the drive element via a gear mechanism. The output shaft (12) of the drive motor (10) is arranged in a substantially parallel orientation in relation to the linear axis of displacement (24) of the drive element. |
