However, hitherto, it is a major concern that serious production drop is caused by so-known replant failure, etc. There are provided an apparatus, and method, for, with the use of a high-temperature exhaust gas emitted from the engine of tractor, etc., fixing the carbon dioxide, sulfur oxide, etc. contained in the exhaust gas in the form of respective harmless calcium salts by means of hydrated lime, etc. spread in advance on the soil to be disinfected to thereby attain soil disinfection while minimizing the leakage of such gas components into the environment.
