<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a packaged beverage, by containing non-polymerized catechin in high concentration, to exhibit the physiological effect of a catechin, to fortify with minerals which are necessary for a living body, and which is satisfactory in the stability of a beverage. <P>SOLUTION: The packaged beverage contains (A) 0.05-0.5 mass% of non-polymeric catechins, (B) 0.0012-0.12 mass% of calcium, (C) 0.00012-0.006 mass% of magnesium, (D) 0.000048-0.0024 mass% of zinc, (E) 0.00004-0.002 mass% of iron and (F) 0.01-20 mass% of sweetening agent, wherein the weight-based ratio of (B) the calcium to (A) the nonpolymeric catechins [(B)/(A)] is 0.001-1.0 mass%, (J) the gallate content of the non-polymeric catechins is 5-55 mass%, and the pH value of the beverage is 2.5-5.1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
